Southampton Golf Club is a private club. This information is provided for invited guests. Please note that cellular phones are not to be used in the Clubhouse or on Club grounds with exception of the parking lot. Smoking is not permitted inside any building on Club grounds.
Dress Policy Our Dress policy is an important tradition at Southampton Golf Club and is designed to complement today’s more casual lifestyles.
Club House Attire Men: Collared shirts, dress trousers and walking length shorts are appropriate. Dress denim is allowed but
no faded, torn or distressed items. Shirts designed to be worn un-tucked may be worn as such. Men are required to remove hats upon entering the club house. During Club events where jacket and tie are required, dress denim is
not permitted.
Women: Women may wear equally appropriate attire. Dress denim is allowed but
no faded, torn or distressed items. Shirts designed to be worn un-tucked may be worn as such. Women’s acceptable attire would include skirts, slacks and golf shorts (mid-thigh), Sleeveless collared shirts are permitted.
On Course and Practice Range Attire Collared shirts and appropriate golf shorts or trousers are required. Short or long sleeved shirts with collars, mock turtlenecks, slacks, trousers, skirts and Bermuda length shorts are all considered appropriate.
Metal spiked golf shoes and all flip-flop type beach sandals are prohibited at the Club.We thank you in advance for your cooperation and for treating all members of our staff with the utmost respect.
Pace of play It is the wish of the Board that all guests enjoy their rounds of golf on our wonderful golf course. An important part of that is consideration for all by playing your round in a timely manner. Our Golf Committee established an appropriate time for a round of golf to be three hours and forty-five minutes.
